Day N

 Friday 3rd September 2021 (Overnight)

GBRf 2021 - Day N

Perhaps Day N provides for some of the most unusual elements of GBRf 2021. We begin our journey from Kensington Olympia after the end of Day 2s itinerary, and there's a short journey to Acton Lane reception with our Class 73s. Here we will change locomotives for a Class 86 to take us down the West Coast Main Line via Rugby, Birmingham International and Stechford to Birmingham New Street where we will pick up, then head via Soho Bank, Bescot Down Goods Loop, and onwards via the recently electrified Cannock route and Stafford to Crewe. At Crewe, a Class 92 will replace the 86 and take us via Lancaster, Penrith, Carlisle and Carstairs to Mossend where we arrive in the early hours. Here, we swap locos for a pair of Class 20s which will take us forward via Carmyle to Glasgow Exhibition Centre where Day N concludes.
