Day 1

 Thursday 2nd September 2021

GBRf 2021 - Day 1

Our first day begins in familiar fashion, departing from London Victoria with a Class 66. We head around North London and into Essex for a visit to London Gateway Intermodal Terminal, after which two Class 73/9 locomotives will take charge for the journey back to Temple Mills Loop. Next, we head down the Great Eastern Main Line to Harwich International for a short break. The 73s then take us through Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds to Ely, after which the 66 takes charge to head through Cambridge and up the West Anglia route and back into North London where there is the option to alight at Highbury and Islington. The train however will continue to the Wembley area before one last reversal. Our Class 73/9s then takes us into London Euston where Day 1 will end.
