Day 2

 Friday 3rd September 2021

GBRf 2021 - Day 2

Our second day begins in most unusual fashion with a pair of Class 73/1 locomotives hauling our train out of London Euston down to the Wembley area. We then reverse and a Class 59 locomotive will take the train onto the Southern Region. We’ll have a pick up at Hounslow should anyone prefer a slightly later start before heading onwards via Woking, Guildford, Fareham, Southampton Central and then in to the MOD site at Marchwood. Here we will look to cover some of the sidings within Marchwood whilst we also hope to be shunted by one of the unusual locomotives on site.  After this visit we will then head back to Eastleigh Yard where there is a possible additional loco to be had, and then onwards via Basingstoke, Woking, Virginia Water, Clapham Junction to Kensington Olympia, where day 2 will conclude and Day (N) will start.
